Yes, I’m back! After a two year absence I am back finally with a new podcast. It’s been awhile and much has changed. But much has stayed the same too. Probably many of you know what’s been going on with me already on the job scene and other things, but I delve a bit deeper into things on this special podcast. I hope you get a kick out of it and enjoy what I have to say this time out. I hope to get back to doing these every few weeks or so. Anyway, enjoy the show and let me know what you think.

Well, I’m finally back after an absence of several months from doing this little show. It’s been a crazy time. As many of you know, back in February I lost my job (like many people) and have been hard at work trying to get a new one! I’ve been through this once before back in 2002 so I learned a few things. I recorded this podcast in my car a few days ago while I went on a little road trip. I discuss some of my recent thoughts, feelings and discoveries about being unemployed again. It’s a somewhat difficult time, but I remain hopeful and optimistic. I know everything will work out – eventually. It might take more time than I would like, but I will get a new job and hopefully a good one too! So, sit back and enjoy this cast.

We got quite a bit of snow already here in Michigan. Last weekend over Thanksgiving I recorded some of it coming down and Kaylee (the Wonder Dog) playing and running around in it. It looked very pretty coming down (I just hate driving in it). I hope you enjoy this little video and it gets you in the mood for the upcoming holidays. Sorry it took so long to get another show up. Hope to do another one or tow in the next few weeks. Check your feeds, iTunes, or just download this most recent show HERE. Take care!

Once again there was quite a big gap between shows. Maybe someday I’ll get these out every 2 weeks or so like I want. Life just gets busy sometimes. Anyway, this show was recorded at Detroit Metro Airport while I waited for my wife Lynn. She was in Europe for almost 2 weeks on a school trip. She’s a language teacher and a couple other teachers and Lynn took a group of about 20 kids on a three country visit. I talk about the high price of airport parking – they really know how to get you when you have little choice. Also I discuss a bit more on my new computer and another add on I got for it. A few other tidbits pop up too. Sorry the show got cut a little bit short by a cell phone call at the end, but I was pretty much done anyway. Hope you enjoyed this fun little ‘airport’ podcast. Talk to you all again hopefully more sooner than later.

The show this time is about my recent business trip to New York. It was a pretty crazy trip. I recount my delayed flight issues, rain and the crazy EZ-Pass toll road system in the New York area. This is one place I haven’t visited a lot even though it is fairly close to Michigan where I live. Lot’s of traffic and a crazy road system – at least where I was going. Thank goodness for GPS in the rental car. Sometimes traveling a short distance is more difficult than even going to a far off foreign country. Well, I hope you get a kick out of the show. Feel free to comment about some of your travel experiences – especially to the New York state area. Later….

The podcast this time is about home repairs. Specifically, how I had to get my home water heater replaced last week when it began to leak. I am pretty good at most work and stuff around the house. I really enjoy it too. But plumbing and me have never gotten along very well. So I had to go to Lowe’s and order a new water heater and have their guy install it. This ended up causing me some problems and difficulties. Some about some unusual pricing tactics and also about how it took a couple of trips for the guy to get the job done right. Anyway, all is well now but I think you will enjoy hearing the tale. Hopefully I won’t have to do this all again anytime soon. Enjoy the cast!

This time on the cast I talk about everyday gadgets that I use and enjoy. Another show recorded in my car on my drive home as I discuss some of my most favorite gadgets. I take you through a typical day for me and talk about the little electronic (and some big) devices that make life easier and fun in 2008. Starting with my alarm clock all the way through my home theater that I relax in the evening with. I know I didn’t cover everything – I even forgot to talk about cell phones completely. Although frankly, I’m not a big cell phone user and have only sent a text message on mine like three times. Being a work phone I don’t use it much outside work. But anyway, I do talk about several of my favorites like my iPOD (which seems to be dying and not hold ing a charge) and my HD TIVO. Oh TIVO – I love you so! Hehe! So, I hope you enjoyed this brief look at the things that help me get through my day (most of which didn’t exist until fairly recently). Technology just seems to keep on moving ahead at an amazing pace!
