Show # 6 – Nostalgia

Ξ December 8th, 2007 | → 1 Comments | ∇ Podcasts |

On this new show I get a bit nostalgic and talk about days gone by and the upcoming holidays. It seems there are days I long for a simpler time and life perhaps. I think it’s important to slow down a bit at this busy time and enjoy what really matters – visiting with friends and family. I hope you enjoy this new show and a further look into my mind. Hehe! (Note: The picture of “Edgewater Park” is a place I went to many times growing up in Detroit. We lived close enough to walk to it. Ah, those were the days.)

Songs on this show:

Intro – “Life in a Northern Town” – by The Dream Academy

Outro – “Old Days” – by Chicago

Great Podcast Rico. I liked your thoughts on Christmas, I do find as well that the lead up to Christmas can be a bit overwhelming, with a push for year end at work, and just Christmas and preparing for that. I agree that we need to take time and enjoy the season, as it only comes once a year, and really should be celebrated with family and friends, lots of other things can wait as we have the rest of the year to take care of those. Even though it is not Christmas related, on Sunday I went to a Van Halen concert, and just listening to songs I listened to as a teen and kid brought back a lot of good memories (some song had been over 15 years since I had heard them). I think walking out after, having being able to relive the memories from my younger years was probably the most special thing for me.
